A great surprise
Despite the reviews we decided to go there, and we're happy for having done so.
Yes, it's out-dated and could do with some maintenance but it was a correct price, spacious, friendly and has heating (ideal in autumn and winter).
The building has a lot of character to it, just like Ali who runs it.
Surprisingly good! We didn’t have high expectations at all. The staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was decent and bed comfortable. Perhaps a bit out dated. Not sure what all the bad reviews are about, but it cost £21 for two of us for 1 night... so can’t really complain.
It smells cigarettes and the reception guy is very impolite!
Undervalued, because with old interior, but my room was the largest I ever had in Tunesia, it was perfectly clean and the central heating worked perfect (no loud climatization necessary for heating), the view from the window was panoramic, it was completely quiet .....and it was also one of the very cheapest hotels....Thus I recommend it strongly to anybody in search not for stylish interior, but for value for money.
A clean basic hotel in an area that is not very touristy. We came as part of an organised tour. The room had radiators and was warm in December. It had extra blankets but these were thin. Had to wear jumper to bed. The bathroom and room could do with a renovation. Breakfast was basic consisting of bread and jam with a small yoghurt. They had boiled eggs too and drinkable coffee but no tea.
