El Mouradi Menzah

Stayed 7 nights at this hotel in February 2021 as it was one approved hotels by the ministry of health for mandatory quarantine. The price was 110 dinars including tax and transportation from the airport. The terrible journey began at the airport when I was about to board the bus provided by the hotel when the driver said that there is no room left in the luggage compartment. He said that the hotel provided him with the names of 7 people but he ended up transporting 14 people. We had to take our heavy luggage upstairs and put it in between seats and in the middle corridor. We were stuck and jammed in the small bus from 7 am until 10:30 am after long trip from North America. Arriving at the hotel, Hammouda was very welcoming and helpful. He helped us taking our luggage upstairs. Zied at the reception was very friendly and helpful. The staff in general was friendly. The problem was the rooms were outdated for the price. Chairs were squeaky and falling apart. Internet was barely functioning and very unstable signal. We purchased a monthly data plan with ooredoo but the coverage was very poor. The food was simply terrible. The price we paid was more expensive than much cleaner, luxurious and reputable hotels in the neighbourhood for example Iberostar hotel. At this price, hotels offer a lunch and dinner buffets with a wide variety to cater for all tastes. The food at el Mouradi was either barely edible or sometimes disgusting. Nothing justifies the poor food quality especially that we paid a pretty high rate for February. No special accommodations were put in place besides measuring our temperature at the entrance and spraying us with a disinfectant. The meat was of a very poor quality. Breakfasts were all packaged, cold and cheap, nothing fresh except that one clementine. We were served omelette only one day but it had just eggs not even salt. To sum it up. Prepare for very poor to No wifi. Poor network coverage. Poor food quality. Not even an option to choose what to eat at a hotel we paid a lot more than the average price for. We paid 110 dinars per night while cleaner and better 4 star hotels cost less than 70 dinars. I have to say that the staff was very friendly and tried the best they can but management must be very poor and tried to get the cheapest food possible.

Value for money ....

Very bad experience. The early you can check in is 2 PM and the pool close at 6. The stuff start taking the couching from the chairs at 5:30 and yes they make you get up and give them the couching. At the restaurant they acted like they are doing you a favor by serving you. Only the receptionist are nice and professional. Glad they we only booked 1 night to feel the place 1st. 200$ a night I expected to be a lot better.

Amazing service...Very clean and well organized...Spent new year's eve there and it was amazing with a very warm atmosphere fit for families and couples. The indoor pool is clean and well maintained. I do recommend it.
