Went for a day at the beautiful beach. If you want to eat try the pool restaurant which has a good variety of delicious food. Fresh ingredients, interesting combinations and nice presentation.

Excellent property, it's on a narrow strip on land with the Mediterranean Sea on one side and Lake Ariana on the other. There is a private entry to the beach. The breakfast buffet was excellent, even got a vegetarian who could not find much food in Tunis otherwise. The attendants at the restaurant also took trouble to help me understand what were the ingredients in the buffet and how to eat them. The spread of local food like Bsissa, sorghum paste, chickpeas soup and others were very exciting for a person who had no idea of what to expect in Tunisia!

I travelled to Tunis on business this last weekend, staying at The Residence and what a beautiful experience this was! Out of season, so quieter than it might usually be, and yet all of the staff regardless delivered top notch service and warm, genuine hospitality. I can't remember last when I felt so at home. Add to this, the sumptuous bedrooms and bathrooms, the incredible breakfasts with divine French pastries and you have the perfect combination. And don't miss the Tunisian Chardonnay - an unexpected delight...
