For my husband and I wedding anniversary we went to Tunisia and stayed at Hotel Nesrine. Saturday night, Sunday morning - Check-in:, Hair from previous guests all over the pillow case and sheets. Request made for cleaner room. Next room also had hair on pillow case although this time the door key won't allow us to securely lock the door. Sunday am: Request made for new keys or the lock to be changed in the morning. Evening the keys were collected although no changes made to it. Informed someone would fix it in 15mins. 15mins later informed someone would fix it in 30mins. 30mins later told to wait for tomorrow morning. Request now made to change rooms although informed there are no rooms available. A demand now made for another room. We were taken to a room with damp on the walls, hair in the bath drain and large spiders on the ceiling. Request made to change rooms, informed that there was no rooms available and told there was nothing wrong with the rooms we were in. Desk clerk then stated the only rooms available were the suite and we had to pay extra for it. 1hr later outside of the bedroom became flooded due to the heavy rain, we collected our stuff and left to go back to the reception. Other guests rooms noted to be flooded. They frantically tried to stop the water from coming into the rooms although with no luck. Back at reception we demanded our room to be changed after 30mins, we were handed back our old keys. Despite the man saying there was no rooms left. However, this time the key was replaced by a new one. Monday: Several guests requesting room changes. No good selection of food for pescaterians. It was very obvious to the eye the amount of false advertisement of food within the hotel. What is shown to be available, is in fact not. Wednesday: Two guests noted to be very angry about their rooms although denied a room change. One guest reporting broken toilet and shower, requesting it to be fixed. The same fish mackerel noted to be the served throughout the day. Thursday: Maggot dropped out of salt shaker before I sprinkled it over my egg. Requested the waiter to change the dirty table cloth so that we could sit down at the table to eat. Instead he shook off a few crumbs over the dirty bin. Turn the dirty cloth around and put it back on the table. Friday - Pillow case noted to be ripped poorly. Pillows themselves appeared to feel worn out, lumpy all over. Request made at front desk to call a Tunisian number to confirm our transfer to the airport although told there was a charge. What can I say, I could definitely go on although when would I stop. This was a hotel from hell and I would never recommend it to anyone, no matter how cheap it is. Other than the entertainment staff and the person who worked on the private beach for the hotel, good work ethics goes out the window. This hotel should be shut down until improvements are made.

Arrived at hotel on 20/09/19,on first view it was slightly dated but very clean,,the staff,animation team,keto,Antonio, teto,, were just great,,the waiters couldn't do enough for us,the food was repetitive during the day,but tasty,, on a night time we couldn't fault it ,,I would go back to this hotel and from a party 4 we all agreed we got more then our monies worth

Very good clean resort, lovely beach and pools, friendly staff and plenty of choice in family activities and food. I would defo recommend or visit again

Run down hotel with lots of potential. The hotels layout is very charming. Unfortunately for many years there has been no improvement to the rooms by the owner. The only update in our room was a flat screen TV. The blankets and towels were worn out. The grout between the tiles is black and badly patched up holes in the walls everywhere. The staff is trying to keep up with the interior that's falling apart. In general it was clean. The breakfast and dinner buffet is disappointing. Every second dish we did not like. I tried the coffee two mornings in a row but couldn't drink it. (bad taste) Staff was friendly and helpful. Except the gentleman working evening shifts at the reception. He never seems to be in a good mood or wanting to help. Someone like him should not be the first person to (not) welcome guests in a hotel. Would we come back? After being here for the first time in 2016 the overall outlook is not very promising. There are just too many other hotels that offer much better overall value for the same money. We hope the owner will see the potential of his hotel and employees and start investing into securing the future of hotel Nesrine.
