Stunning and humbling to behold. Take your hat off when inside the temple area. This place isn’t just for tourists. It’s filled with worshippers actively praying. There are monks managing the place and items for sale. The surrounding area has lots of Buddhist themed shops. This temple is beautiful and worth seeing.
Famous landmark in historic Wanhua district in Taipei. The temple is busy and bustling with people. Because of the agitation of tourists and faithful, it is not a temple to find silence and peace but It brings a very interesting and initiating look on the Buddhist faith in modern times. The representation of the different Buddhist gods, the architecture and the design, the contrast with the city, the monks and the faithful, the intense activity during religious festivals, it is really worth the visit for temple enthusiasts.
It was very interesting to see many worshipers praying and seeking guidance in their lives and future. There were many young local people who prayed for their marriage. We enjoyed looking at the architecture and all the dragons. It was a very colorful temple. Recommend if you stay downtown.
Worth the visit if you're in the area! There's a beautiful waterfall in the courtyard and the temple itself is quite serene, despite the large amount of people constantly there. It's a fun place to explore and see the intricate architecture and sculpture of Taiwanese temples. Certainly the king of temples in Taipei.nnNote: Visited prior to COVID
Always fun and interesting to visit Longshan Temple. The brightly lit stylized lanterns were beautiful and out as part of the lantern festival.
