Peace Island

The best place to enjoy your weekend in Keelung, beautiful trail and natural swimming pool.

The small island north of Keelung City is easily accessible by city bus no. 101. Along the way you can admire the seaside ports and observe the locals fishing. The Agenna Shipyard Relics and the Keelung City Indigenous Cultural Hall is accessible prior to crossing the bridge into the island. A notable photo are the colorful buildings spotting the bay by the bridge. Once across the bridge the small island vibe is very much present as you walk smaller roads, visit temples, and admire the scenery of the beautiful Heping Island Park.

The view is awesome, but unfortunately the trail limits the accessibility to the coast.

Suits the name. Quite and peaceful. I visited this place around chinese new year and hence very less crowd. A bit remote if you are travelling by public transport yet worth it.

Nice view. Can even swim there.
