One of the oldest schools in Ukraine. Now, the Stavets Comprehensive School, was founded in 1895 as a one-of-a-kind public school by philanthropist Olga Wangheim, a graduate of Bestuzhiv Higher Women's Courses, a relative of landowner V. Pikhno, who owned a manor in Stawki. In 1903-1904 the philanthropist built at her own expense a new school, already a two-year school, with six years of education, which she transferred to the possession of the county zemstvo. Wangenheim herself worked as a teacher at the school. The two-storey wooden school building is completely preserved.
