Excellent exposure. Be sure to visit this place! A real technique is presented that worked in eliminating the consequences of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. A unique technique with which unique people-heroes worked. The exposition is open air in free access.

Developed by the Leningrad Polytechnic Institute, these robots played an important role in the removal of radioactive materials in the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant disaster, albeit for a short time. I say short because the robots used in the area burned out one by one under high radiation and within a few days each one became unusable. Upon this, a cleaning team consisting mostly of soldiers in their 20s was formed to clean the radioactive materials at the top of the plant, and they were put on radiation protection clothing, lead vest and a military uniform called "iron egg basket". During the 2-minute period they worked, they were exposed to many times the amount of radiation they would receive during their lives, and died painfully in the following days. The Exhibition of Radioactive Robots is the next visiting point, about 500 meters from the "Monument to Those Who Saved the World".

A very interesting exhibition of equipment that was directly involved in the elimination of the accident. All equipment in the foreground is remotely controlled - and it's 1986.

This is a small inconspicuous exhibition of unique machines that took part in cleaning up the consequences of the disaster. However, very strong radiation overcame many of these and similar machines very quickly. Therefore, it was decided that so-called "biorobots" - ie living people - will be used to clean up the consequences of the disaster.
