Pros: 1) in our area this is the only castle, albeit not to the extent that we would like and could be. 2) Very close location from the bus station, on foot - 15 minutes. If, for example, you are driving from Zaporozhye by car, to the right along the “circle” (where the traffic police post is a flying saucer), after 300 meters you reach the first sign, turn left and further - follow the arrows. 3) you can visit on the way to the sea or in the complex, having arrived at the home zoo in Vasilyevka. 4) the stable building and the turret really impressed, the preservation is good. 5) can be visited by both children and the elderly, families and classes. Cons: 1) the general impression of decline is present. This is probably largely due to underfunding, but there is also some kind of clutter, not well-groomed. 2) the museum was without a guide, interesting, in principle, the hall, where exactly about the Popov stands and things and the hall where the history of the Second World War is presented. BUT everything else is also the impression that it was folded just like that, and even a museum worker sleeping right on a chair in the hall. What is there to guard? Okay, there are such observers in Peterhof or the Hermitage, but why are they here to guard and sleep? It is better to involve this working unit in excursions. 3) the general impression of disinterest of the staff; 4) for example, they didn't even offer an excursion to the dungeon, as if the employees didn't need it. Conclusion: such places need to be protected, preserved, and attracted tourists and investors at the state level. Castles should be restored not only in western Ukraine. This is a small island that requires a master's hand. 5 we bet that there is such a place, and it is next to us. In the network you can find out that: “Vasily Stepanovich Popov, secret adviser to Empress Catherine II, received these lands in 1788. But only in 1894 his grandson Vasily Pavlovich Popov succeeded in completing the palace in the neo-Gothic style on this place. Over the years of its history, the building has repeatedly become the subject of controversy. In 1917, the estate was plundered, and during the Second World War, its walls were damaged by explosions, everything that was made of wood burned down. In 1950, the remains of the castle were dismantled, the materials were used for other buildings. Archaeological excavations have continued on the territory of the complex since 2013. The stables are considered to be the largest building of the castle complex. It was built according to the architectural canons of Northern Italy. From the outside, the stable resembles a castle wall, reinforced with buttresses and crowned with "teeth". On both sides there are multi-tiered towers with windows, one of them even has an original covering. Cellars are now open in the stable, where exhibitions are held. There is a railway next to this building. Cracks appeared on the building due to constant vibrations from freight trains. " Travel!

The place did not live up to expectations😒 Not well maintained. The old stable is in places laid with aerated concrete. It looks terrible. The museum was also not impressed. Entrance 70 UAH. The castle is located among residential buildings, which also spoils the impression. Walk for one time.

it is a pity that nothing is being restored, but it is still worth a visit - a wonderful monument of history

Monument to the history of the Tavriya province, the owners who loved life, travel, but created a cozy and remarkable estate, contributed to the development of the region. Very cool and interesting guide.

At the moment, the quarantine of the day off, you can't get into the museum, but you can walk around the territory with an entrance of 70 UAH, for a child like 50. I liked it (I was there for the first time) You can take beautiful photos. It's clear that there is no money, it was possible something refine the territory.
