Zaporizhzhya Mill is a monumental creation of wooden architecture that adorns the boundaries of the floodplains of the legendary Zaporizhzhya island on the Dnieper, although thanks to the nobility of the darkened tree and the authenticity of the building, looking like an ancient elder is actually a product of hard work of the third millennium. Thus, the idea of ​​creating a mill originated in groups of enthusiasts and representatives of the National Reserve "Khortytsia" in the early 2000s, but to implement such a grand project was possible only with the involvement of masters of their craft, who in this case were represented by Cherkasy Museum of Ethnography. some experience in the construction of this type of buildings, which are still working successfully. For the implementation of the project as a model were selected typical for the Lower Dnieper windmills of the XIX century, which was due to the harmony of the overall picture of local ethnoculture.
