Tulchin Museum of Local History is the oldest museum in Vinnytsia region. He is 85 years old. The museum was founded in 1927. Its first director was the well-known public figure of Podillya Hippoly Zborivsky. Step by step the museum has formed its collection, which today comprises over 16 thousand exhibits of the main fund, which represent the nature, history, ethnography, art of the Tulchyn region. The museum has a rich archeological collection. The history of Tulchyn region from ancient times to the present day is represented by unique exhibits of numismatic collection, ethnographic materials, written documents, old printed books, weapons collection of the 17th and 20th centuries. The museum has a rich collection of folk art, weaving and embroidery, 19-20th century clothing. A separate collection of the museum presents pottery of our masters - Alexey Lutyshyn, Ivan Gonchar, who are classics of sculptural compositions made of clay. The collections of the museum are presented in the exposition, which consists of sections of nature, history, thematic exhibitions. The materials of the section of nature, placed in the exposition, acquaint with the geological structure, climate, rivers and lakes of the Tulchyn region, rich flora and fauna, nature reserves, park zones and forests   The department of ancient history covers the period of history of the Tulchyn region, from the earliest times to the beginning of the 20th century. This exposition presents materials of archeology, original exhibits of the period of Kievan Rus, materials of the Cossack movement in the history of the region.      A separate exposition presents materials about the Russian army commander-in-chief A.V. Suvorov.   The most interesting page in the history of the region is the period of the 18th century, which is represented by interesting and famous personalities such as PI. Pestel and the Southern Decembrists Society are based in Tulchin    The patron of the land of S.Sh. deserves special attention in the exposition of the museum. Potocki, who built the famous palace and park "Good" for his family in the museum The exposition of the museum presents marble sculptures from the park "Good" a chair in the style of Italian Baroque and other objects of that period.    The ethnographic collection of the museum has more than two thousand exhibits of the main stock.     The section of modern history is represented by the exposition of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.    Every year, about 40 exhibitions of various thematic directions are presented and created in the museum, both from the museum funds and personal collections of creatively gifted fans of the region.   Every year more than 20 thousand visitors visit the museum. Sightseeing and thematic excursions of the museum are constantly being supplemented with new scientific and local lore.   The Tulchin Museum of Local History is now the center of culture and enlightenment of the region, a source of healing energy from which we draw for ourselves and our children those feelings of patriotism, ethics and aesthetics, attitude to and understanding of the world.   Patrons of the museum are always welcome guests, including Boris Kherson, who donated a collection of weapons of the Great Patriotic War to the museum. The results of the research work of the museum on the history of the region by the research staff of the museum are reflected in scientific - local publications, booklets, scientific - practical conferences, presented color products, scientific - historical certificates, which are successfully used by students and students of the city and the district. The research material is supplemented by lectures and excursions, thematic exhibitions, scientific and educational events. The Tulchin Museum of Local Lore is a regular participant and a repeated winner of regional mini-exhibitions competitions in the history of the region.
