Yaroshynsky Palace in Tyvriv (Vinnytsia region) was built in the early XVIII century. The length of the estate exceeds 150 meters. The two-storey building is built in a classic style. Fountains, gazebos and a place for the orchestra were located near the main entrance on the side of the Southern Bug. Around the estate is a large landscape park with a river flowing into the river Bug. The Yaroshynsky estate is on the state register as a monument of architecture and local planning of local significance.
History of the Yaroshynsky Palace.
In 1590, Marianna Yaroshynska, marrying Sebastian Kalytynsky, received a dowry from the Tyvrivs, who thus became part of the Kalytynsky estates. When the direct line of descendants of this genus died out, the town and the surrounding areas began to claim representatives of the collateral line of the family Kalitinsky and Yaroshynsky.
The conflict of ownership was resolved in 1756 - the estate was seized by Zakhariya Yaroshynsky. Living mainly in Tivrov, he built one of the largest palaces in Podolia at that time, allocated significant funds for the reconstruction of the Dominican church. He died on October 13, 1774 in Tivrov, before his death he ordered to be buried in the Kunyansky church. It was in front of the church that Yaroshynsky built a large palace and laid out a landscape homestead park. These architectural complexes have long determined the development of architectural silhouettes of Tivrov.
In 1891 the Yaroshynsky estate was sold to the Podolsk diocese, which opened a seminary in the palace. Seven years later, a fire broke out in the palace, in which the central part with the facade facing the church was badly damaged. It was significantly rebuilt at the beginning. XX century with a change in the style of the house. In 1910-1911, the outstanding Ukrainian composer KG Stetsenko taught singing there, as a memorial plaque reminds us. During Stetsenko's short stay in Tyvriv, such works as "Let's Unite" in the words of Ivan Franko and the cantata "Shevchenko" were written. M. Leontovych also worked here, V. Svidzinsky studied here. After World War II, the former estate housed a boarding school, which today is a "boarding school for advanced training in science", a room-museum of Honored Journalist of Ukraine, photographer, carver V. Ocheretny.
The architecture of the Palace is a two-storey building built in the classical style, with high rectangular windows, on the walls - rectangular semi-columns, which ended in plaster rosettes. The park facade of the preserved building bears the features of the late Baroque. It should be noted significant differences in the nature of the decor of the right risalit and the whole building. The first refers to the remains of the palace of the late XVIII century. and was performed in the best Palladian traditions of early classicism. The later extension covered the facade with four semi-columns with a pattern of capitals (upper part of the column) of the Ionic order, the pattern of capitals is repeated on the decoration of the side parts of the building. The roof of the estate is pitched, the length exceeds 150 meters. At the main entrance, on the side of the Southern Bug, there were fountains, gazebos and a place for a brass band. Inside the estate had a rich interior with many paintings on various subjects and well-furnished rooms.
Landscape park of the estate. Around the estate was a large dendrological park with a lake, which was divided by a stone bridge into two parts. It was laid in a landscape style. The park was in the shape of a horseshoe with an "alley of love" that ran through the entire territory. The alley was decorated with antique marble sculptures brought from Italy. Hundreds of different trees and shrubs brought from Europe were also planted. From the first plantings there were lindens, oaks, hornbeams. The nature of the park determined the relief of the area - hilly, with ravines and a river flowing into the Bug. To this day, preserved the old park, which begins just behind the palace. The park has a fence with a gate, which is in poor condition. Above the cliff is part of the fortress wall, lined with red brick and stone.
Extremely majestic and elegant palace in the classicist style. It is one of the earliest palaces of the so-called "first wave of construction" in Vinnytsia region. This object is not very attractive for tourists, because the tourist potential is not very developed. With the help and assistance of the authorities, the palace can become an important tourist center with a rich history and nature. The surrounding area is rich in natural attractions, so you can create tourist routes and camping centers. Definitely worth a look!
Very interesting building with a rich history. On the north side of the palace there was once a viewing balcony with an incredibly beautiful view. Now there is a balcony but the windows are bricked up. The gate is also preserved.
Ruin, like the whole Tyvriv. A monument to Soviet and Ukrainian mismanagement and indifference.
The most important historical monument of Tivrov. It is good that the building has started to be restored, but there is a lack of quality reconstruction and improvement of the whole territory.
