The Museum of the History of Internal Affairs of the Poltava Region started its activity from the room-museum under the Regional Administration of Internal Affairs in 1967. At the time, it was one of the first museums of the Soviet Union police. On September 23, 1989, on the occasion of the 46th anniversary of the liberation of Poltava from the Nazi invaders, the museum received a separate room - the 1890 city mansion, which belongs to the architectural monuments of Poltava. In May 1992, the museum was awarded the title of People's. The exposition of the museum is located in four halls with a total area of 198 m2. The museum's holdings include almost three thousand exhibits: archival documents, photographs, original samples of firearms and cold weapons, personal belongings of veterans of law enforcement agencies. The exposition contains masterfully made dioramas, artistic models. The interior of the halls is marked by original decoration, interesting placement of visual material. According to the Decree of the President of Ukraine, on August 22, the Day of Remembrance of Internal Affairs Officers, killed in the line of duty, is celebrated. Near the museum, at the corner of Pushkin and Dmitry Koryak streets, there is a memorial complex "To the fallen defenders of the rule of law of Poltava region". It includes an operating chapel, a sculpture of Archangel Michael, Stel Memory, created in 1999 by architects S. Shevchenko, M. Karyuk, O. Snezhkin, and sculptor V. Bilous.

Police Museum. 1) Located in the old mansion of the late 19th century. He belonged to a person who traded wine. From here on the facade a picture of the throat of a bottle with a stopper. 2) Many interesting exhibits - paintings, sculptures, charts, old weapons, ancient documents ... A lot of interesting things.
