At that time, such a luxurious house was built for the savings bank, because in the then society, the main values ​​were honesty, hard work and thrift. According to historians, the seven rays of the "crown" of the sculpture indicate the seven ends of the world and freedom in finance and politics. And the two men embraced by "Thrift" symbolize two areas of the national economy - agriculture and industry. Now it is located on the roof of the Museum of Ethnography and Art Crafts of the Institute of Ethnology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. У Львові є своя статуя Свободи. Вона як і американська статуя тримає факел, а голова її увінчана короною з променями, але оригінальність львівської в тому, що це єдина Свобода, яка сидить, крім того, вона ще й обіймає двох чоловіків. Насправді львівська скульптурна група це символ «ощадливість». Цю скульптурну групу відкрили на 5 років пізніше американської в 1891р. Архітектор Леонард Марконі. На той момент, для ощадної каси побудували такий розкішний будинок, тому що в тодішньому суспільстві основними цінностями були чесність, працьовитість і ощадливість. На думку істориків, сім променів «корони» скульптури вказують на сім кінців світу і свободу в фінансах і політиці. А двоє чоловіків, яких обіймає «Ощадливість», символізують два напрямки народної економіки - сільське господарство і промисловість. Зараз розташована вона на даху Музею етнографії та художнього промислу Інституту народознавства НАН України.

The people there are very friendly and the antiques there are very very exquisite. Overall the price this was when I saw on the first floor and second floor, but I think the third floor it’s nice gallery but if you’re in a rush you don’t need to go up there because normally it’s temporary artist exhibition. This time we saw an artist who died from cancer it was very nice and touching- recommend to have a look. Mainly ground floor has the most because school is it antiques from ancient history to see. Especially the re was a vase with flowers - must see. Clock room is fun too
