Tiny museum, maybe not best described exhibition, but beautiful works of arts Also enables to image how artist lived at that time The graphics are fascinating and give a chance to observe how the same artist used different techniques and thus created very different impression

Leopold Ivanovych Levitsky (August 7, 1906, Burdyakivtsi village, Borshchiv district, Ternopil region - May 14, 1973, Lviv) - Ukrainian graphic artist and painter. Honored Artist of the USSR (1970). Levitsky is a multifaceted artist: graphic artist, painter, sculptor. Fluent in many techniques, he created highly artistic works at the beginning of his artistic career. Most of his early works perished during the war. Works of a later period remained the property of Ukraine. The artist's work was undoubtedly influenced by the environment of Lviv, where Levitsky settled in 1946. In the 1960s, the artist developed a unique stylistic style, which combined spontaneity and technicality. From the engravings "From the stories of my father", "Old and new", "How we lived overseas" you can see the hand of a mature master. Levitsky was extremely demanding of himself. In the last decades of his life he created a large series of paintings on Carpathian themes, in particular "Learning Day". He has a series of paintings dedicated to Hryhoriy Skovoroda, which became his swan song. Levitsky achieved recognition and authority among Lviv colleagues-artists, whose elder he was for many years. The then authorities awarded him an order. During his life, the artist did not have a single personal exhibition. Only a year after his death, in 1974, an exhibition of his works took place in Lviv.

Interesting place with very friendly staff. Art professionals will happily teach you and your children a variety of techniques for creating artwork. They will tell the story of the life and work of Leopold Levitsky. Time spent with benefit!
