For the english speaking visitors: Wonderful museum about the history of theater, film and musical instruments. A wealth of artifacts, information and enthusiasm about the subject. The museum is divided into ~7 rooms and guided by two women who know their stuff. I listened to the guide in Russian, so I'm unsure if the same presentation is given in English,or a more general version instead. Still, there is a lot to see and read; some placecards are written in english.

I found this interesting. It is larger than it appears from the outside and has interesting photography and exhibits from the golden age of Ukrainian theater. The room full of traditional musical instruments alone is worth the price of admission. There are a few signs in English to help you out along the way. You can also hire an English speaking guide for a tour. After, check out the other museums on the Pechersk Lavra complex like the Micro Miniatures exhibit.

Great place. It is a pity that there are no updates after the 80s. It would be great to make a replenishment.

I was in this museum on a tour. It was very interesting to hear about ancient Ukrainian musical instruments. The guide also demonstrated how some of them were played in ancient times. I highly recommend going to this museum and learning something new.
Similar place
