Picturesque view on Dnipro river, good place for picnics, though it isn't equipped with WC, picnic tables or playground. You have to take everything for your entertainment. But the view worth any hardship. The best time for visit is spring, summer and early autumn.

This is a real place of power. Landscapes simply enchant and make you abstract and stop in time. Pictures from the distant past come to mind - how in the days of Kievan Rus merchant ships came and went here, there was trade on the coastal bazaar. There were houses of craftsmen and fishermen, children played ... I come to this place not for the first time, but such feelings and pictures in imagination arise again and again. Going inside the church also gives the feeling that you are in the time machine in the distant past, but at the same time that feeling warms the soul, perhaps because you understand: so lived your ancestors, I do not know, maybe this is what is called the DNA of the nation .

Svyatopolch is a city founded by Svyatopolk Izyaslavich in 1096 on Vitichevsky hill, 56 versts from Kiev, on the right bank of the Dnieper. The Mongols reached him in 1223 after the victory on the Kalka River, but then they did not go further to Russia. The main southern outpost of the Varangians south of Kiev. It was here that all boats gathered for further cruises by the Dnieper and the Black Sea, here there was a ford across the Dnieper, which was used by the nomads of the left bank during their campaigns to Kiev. Lit fires on the towers announced the approach of the enemy. Very nice views but minimal tourist amenities
