United International Car Rentals

Do not rent from United. On the 4th December 2020 I arrived at United cars to pick up the Ford Fiesta I had reserved from Odessa airport. After waiting around an hour, I was informed that the car was no longer available, and a different car would be delivered to my hotel that evening. This obviously delayed my travel plans. I asked about taking out an insurance policy on the car at the Odessa Airport service desk but the member of staff, Julia, informed me that they do not offer insurance, and it is a system based on the deposit of €600 that would be blocked on my credit card. This information, I later discovered, was entirely false, and when another driver caused damage to the rental car during my rental, I have been charged this full amount. The misinformation is a disgrace, and there is no guarantee you will get the car you have reserved. Upon dropping my car off in Kyiv, there was no member of United staff to meet me and they suggested I wait in the car park for three hours until someone could get to me. I refused and handed over the keys to Europcar. I would urge anyone interested in renting a vehicle to look elsewhere to a more reputable company and not engage with this awful organisation.

nice office, staff are polite. a bit far away from city center though, costs 100UAH for a bolt ride.

I took a car for 3 days in Lviv. Liked: - the courtesy of the staff, it was pleasant to communicate; - no mileage limit, in many other rental companies this is stricter; - there is no need to wash the car before delivery, even if it is slightly dirty; - there were no nagging at the delivery of the car or attempts to find jambs; - the deposit was returned within a couple of minutes; - agreed to meet halfway regarding the return of the car after hours. in the end it was not needed, but thanks anyway; Did not like: - I can't remember any negative moments Recommend. In the future, if the need arises, I will definitely apply again.
