It was not even clear that this is a monument) abandoned all around

Honestly, I don’t know what can be evaluated in this case. Is it worth it to come here on purpose? Not. Is it worth seeing? Not really. The courtyard is cozy, there are several more sculptures nearby. There is nothing else, shops, houses, shops.

This unusual monument "settled" in Kharkov after the next All-Union symposium of young sculptors, which took place in 1991. A lot of talented young authors gathered at this symposium, each of them left a piece of himself to the Kharkovites in the form of his creation. Among other unusual creations, it is worth noting the work of one Muscovite who carved a one and a half meter monument from the sandstone to the two right auricles. Many Kharkiv residents and guests of the city who saw this unusual statue interpret its meaning in different ways. We can only join the discussion about the author's symbolism and assume that this monument is a direct hint to listen to the “right side”, in exchange for many years of listening to the “left”, socialist position on the world order. However, this is just an interpretation that does not claim to be true. At the end of the symposium, the "human ears" of an unknown Muscovite, along with the works of other young sculptors, were presented to the audience in the park named after M. Gorky. Subsequently, they "moved" to the courtyard of houses No. 14-16 on Danilevsky Street. Due to its uniqueness, this monument was overgrown with guesses, so, according to one of them, the sculpture is sometimes called by the people a monument to the All-Hearing Ear or the KGB. There is also a rumor that this monument can fulfill desires, it is enough just to whisper the most secret in the "right" ear.
