The museum was opened in September 1995, and in 1997 the museum received state status. The exposition is created from the most interesting historical materials of the Opryshkiv movement and works of art dedicated to the national avenger Oleksiy Dovbush. The exposition of the museum is based on materials from the private collection of the famous Ukrainian scientist-historian, professor, academician, doctor of historical sciences Volodymyr Grabovetsky. These are originals and copies of court records, act materials on the history of socio-economic relations, works of poets, prose writers, playwrights, composers, artists, filmmakers. The museum consists of two exhibition halls. The first hall begins with a stand dedicated to the museum's founder Volodymyr Grabovetsky. The next exposition is dedicated to the Galicia-Volyn principality. The stands contain materials about the uprising of the peasants of Prykarpattia in 1490-1492 against the nobility of Poland under the leadership of Mukha, the battle of Rohatyn in 1490. Pictures of the struggle of the population led by Semyon Vysochan and Ivan Grabivsky in 1648 are exhibited. The second hall exhibits materials that reveal the socio-economic preconditions for the rise of the Opryshkiv movement led by Oleksa Dovbush; written documents, maps, diagrams, as well as paintings and sculptures illustrate the situation in Galicia in the first half of the XVIII century. A prominent place in the exposition of the second hall of the museum is occupied by a picturesque decorative panel by the artist V. Masyutkin-Cherkes "Oleksa Dovbush in Montenegro". Interesting exhibits in the museum are different types of weapons, clothes, some things opryshki. The last window exhibits fiction about Oleksa Dovbush and Opryshkiv.

Very small room for exhibition. During the excursion, much attention was paid not to Alex, but to the person who investigated this historical figure, which is not correct in my opinion ....

Interestingly, the pores of modest size have something to see, read and think about. Thank you, madam, for the explanation and for showing the office of the museum's founder.
