Tyachivsʹka Misʹka Rada Oth

- district center of Transcarpathian region, city (since 1961) of district subordination, district center. Located 880 km from Kiev and 136 km from the regional center, near the border with Romania. It is located in the Khust basin on the right bank of the Tisza River. By a decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of July 26, 2001 it was classified as a historical settlement of Ukraine. The city has its symbolism - the coat of arms and the flag, developed by the central state historical archive of Ukraine in Lviv and approved by the decision of XI session IV convocation of the Tyachiv City Council of February 10, 2004. Population as of 2012 - 9154 people. Area (together with the subordinate city council of Tyachivka village) 27 sq. M. km. Tjachev was founded in the middle of the 13th century, although people lived here much earlier. In particular, in 1967 near the canning plant the remains of the settlement of the II-II centuries AD were discovered. e., the material culture of which is an extension of the local traditions of the Khushtavian culture (VI-PI century BC). The documents of different historical times include: Thechew (1336), Techew (1406), Teczyo (1453), Thewche (1459), Tetso (1851).
