The blue palace is called the historic building of the Slavic Hotel, an incredibly beautiful, neo-gothic, romantic-style building dating from the turn of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. At night, when the building is illuminated, it really resembles a palace. Undoubtedly, the most famous business card is Cherkasy.

Blue Palace (formerly - the hotel of the entrepreneur Skorina "Slavic") Built at the beginning of the twentieth century according to the project of architect Vladislav Gorodetsky. It is a 2-story brick building, the architecture of which is made using neo-Gothic architecture in a romantic style. Now here is the usual branch of the bank. Actually, once there was a hotel on the second floor, and on the first floor there was a Seiger watch shop and the Constantinople confectionery. After 1917, the Slavyansky hotel retained its purpose, but had the names Grand and Dnieper. Also, in this building there was a cafe, a notary office and the like. Famous Ukrainian and Hungarian writers visited the Dnipro. Among them - Ivan Le, Mikhail Stelmakh, Mate Zalka, Sandor Petofi, Antal Gidash, Frides Karikash .... In the spring of 1915, when Chaliapin traveled from Kiev to Yekaterinoslav, he stayed in Cherkassy. He lived at the Slavyansky Hotel, and performed at a casino.
