The building is interesting both by its history and architecture. It was created at the beginning of the 20th century as a female diocesan school and accepted its first students in 1907. The building that can decorate not only the county town, but any big city, it was created at the expense of the candle factory. And the plant is not some all-Ukrainian, but only the Poltava diocese. Housed in a building and teacher's college, and ordinary school, and during the fascist occupation of prisoners of war were held here.

Among the architectural monuments of the millennial city, the building of school №10 is majestic and unique. In 1902, the XII eparchial congress of the clergy decided to open a school for the daughters of the priests in the Poltava diocese. The design of the building was created by O. M. Beketov. 1907-1918 - diocesan school 1918-1920 - Lubny Teacher's College Institute 1920-1941 - Lubny State Pedagogical Institute 1962-1980 - boarding school 1980-2009 - secondary school of I-III degrees №10 The school introduced a profile education (technological profile). Pupils of grades 10-11 receive a profession of a driver of category "С".
