Башня Стороженко (1911 г.)

History of the tower In 1857 the famous historian and ethnographer A. Storozhenko was born in the village of Velyka Krucha. His family owned local lands and settlements. They lived in the village of Velyka Krucha. Their estate consisted of a dwelling house, outbuildings, stables, and in the area around these buildings there was an orchard and a farmyard. In 1911, the family built a tower on their land. After 1930, all the buildings of this estate were destroyed. Only the tower survived. It remained the only reminder of the estate that once stood here. In 1993, a local businessman created the first private brewery in Ukraine with a restaurant and recreation complex on the basis of the Storozhenko Tower in Velyka Krucha. Storozhenko Tower is a brick building and has a height of about 10 meters. The facade of the building is decorated with light brick. The tower is two-story. In its lower part the windows have a rectangular shape, in the upper tier they are round. The roof is covered with metal tiles.

Beautiful view. It is worth going to see it not far from the Kiev Poltava highway.
