Pros: -good for history buffs, lots of original documents and descriptions of exhibits that give an interesting survey of the region's history -cheap entrance (10 UAH × 3 exhibits) -the women that "work" the exhibits seem to have a general knowledge about the museum's contents -excursions are available Cons: -this isn't necessarily a con, more so a warning: many of the exhibits are only in Ukrainian. Some exhibits have a little booklet in the room with English translation, but I was otherwise translating for my English-speaking parents. -not all exhibits are placed into context with a description board that explains what you are looking at. You are reliant on the little booklets (or Google) if you cannot read Ukrainian. Overall, I enjoyed it a lot! It was an unexpected surprise and totally worth my time and the price. Would recommend, especially with a guide.

Interesting and informative exposition in the renovated after renovation Black House on the square. Market, 4. For the attention of visitors, the historical epochs of the development of the princely city of Lev are distributed in the exposition on the floors. From the first mention to the end of the 20th century you will learn about the development of the city, its traditions, famous figures, architectural monuments, religious attributes of national minorities who lived in the city, mentions of well-known large enterprises and its products. Unequivocally, tourists should include in their program of stay in Lviv this branch of the Historical Museum, and it will not be superfluous for all of us to gain new knowledge about the city that is so dear to us. Ticket price 50 UAH for adults. For children and some categories entrance on a discounted ticket.

This museum was liked by much more than two neighbors. 4 floors of interesting exhibits on the history of Lviv. Children, I think, will also be interested. All exhibits are signed.
