This colorful place definitely is worth of visiting despite a around 2 hour ride from Kyiv. I liked peaceful atmosphere, a lot of green and shadow. Here every house looks naturally, even the smell inside recalls me the memories of my childhood spent on the countryside with my grandparents. On the other hand this place shows not only private life of Ukrainians from past times. It also demonstrates the soviet attributes, the most tragical parts of our history indeed - The great Famine (Holodomor) with surrogates of bread used to eat on these horrific times.

Most of the stuff was "reconstructed", meaning was build fairly recently. But still a lot of interesting things

It's big and atmospheric, and lacks maybe just the team of villagers as in the historic Williamsburg. Summer is the best season to visit of course. The tickets to the museums inside the park should be bought separately.

Excellent place to visit with children If there is a down side. There are no places to enjoy a break with tea or coffee. So remember to take your own.

Great museum. I think it’s more interesting that the similar museum in Kyiv.
