The tower in the recognizable style of "Nikolaev Gothic" was built to accommodate one battalion. In 1863, part of the premises was adapted for the military court and the detention of the arrested, and in 1897 the tower was again converted - into a warehouse. At the same time, the second name of the tower - Prozorovskaya - has not yet been formally canceled, so the tower retains the memory of Field Marshal A. Prozorovsky (1732-1809), who died in the theater of operations during the next Russian-Turkish war. There was once a church in the tower, in the lower floor of which the remains of the field marshal have been buried since 1863. Alas, they were thrown into a landfill during the Bolshevik era. After the Great Patriotic War and until 1993, military unit 63224 of the Armed Forces of the KKVO was deployed here. Military unit No. 2260 of the National Guard of Ukraine (22nd separate brigade for the protection of embassies, consulates and representative offices of foreign states).
