The ornithological park is part of the Askania-Nova biosphere reserve, which is considered one of the largest European protected areas. The biosphere reserve also includes the feather-grass-fescue steppe, as well as dendrological and zoological parks. Today Askania-Nova is a territory that provides shelter to rare species of animals listed in the Red Book. ... A large part of the entire area is covered by flowering plants, of which there are 368 species. The reserve is under the protection of UNESCO and is included in the list of 7 wonders of Ukraine. The opinion is about the ornithological part - the content of birds is lame. Some of them (predatory, eagle) were not photographed, they are in a deplorable state, in strange huge cells. We did not even consider them, we immediately left, except for pity - no feelings. It seems that this should not be the case in the 21st century. There are many peacocks, various ducks, there are flamingos, swans. 5 were put to the reserve in principle. Travel!
