True, now only traditional medicine is sold there, but back in Soviet times there was an ordinary district pharmacy, which has retained the interior from the moment of its foundation. And it was founded in the century before last! You will see not only the ancient interior, but also the medical utensils of the 19th, 20th and even earlier centuries, lovingly collected by enthusiasts. It is interesting to consider how the prescriptions of medicines and branded bottles looked like, in which they were poured, the scales on which they were weighed, etc. And the manual presses for tabletting from powders or extruding medical suppositories - where else will you see this? I will not tell you anything else - you just need to come here. But do not forget to pre-order the excursion, because without it, much will remain incomprehensible.

The cost of the visit was: UAH 25 for adults and 10 UAH. for children (February 16, 2021) A wonderful place, very interesting and exciting. There are many containers for the preparation and storage of both pharmaceuticals and body and personal care products. Several rooms for familiarization. The visit did not take long, unfortunately I was in a hurry and looked through everything in a light rush, but in a different situation I would have lingered with a deeper and more cognitive interest. In addition to the museum, there is a real pharmacy. Thanks to the administrations and staff of all generations of the existence of this museum! ❤️

The pharmacy museum in Kharkov is not inferior to similar museums in Lviv and Kiev in terms of the collected collection. The hall dedicated to perfumery is especially interesting. Very affordable prices for the excursion (for January 2021 - 30 UAH for an adult and 15 for a child).
