One of a few (if not the only) tourist spots in Dolyna. Nothing really special, just an average provincial regional history museum, a bit poor in exhibits. But if you for some reason end up in Dolyna, you might as well visit it. Anyways, there are not so many ways to entertain yourself in a town like Dolyna.

We visited the museum in January 2020, we advise everyone to visit. In addition to a wonderful photo area, got acquainted with the history of our region, viewed historical exhibits. The history of the Valley is more than 1000 years old.

Local History Museum Boykivshchyna is one of the youngest local lore museums in the Prykarpattia region; collection of materials and objects on ethnography and culture of Boykivshchyna, a significant cultural and educational center of the city. The Museum in the Valley is the first state museum dedicated to the original cultural heritage of the Boykiv region. The Museum of Local Lore in Dolyna was established by a decision of the local council of people's deputies of December 23, 1997. At the beginning of its activity, the museum was conceived and listed in the name as "Historical and Art Museum". Work on the creation of the museum began with the most important thing - finding, collecting and processing materials for future exhibitions. However, the lack of adequate space did not allow to create a permanent exhibition. A new page in the activities of the museum in the Valley began in September 2003, when thanks to the world-famous charitable foundation of Tatiana and Omelyan Antonovich (USA), the museum received a newly built building with a total area of over 1,000 m2. The grand opening of the Museum of Local Lore in Dolyna took place on September 5, 2003 and was timed to the 1st World Boyko Festival in Prykarpattia. Since then, the institution has been a significant scientific and educational center of the city and region. In the halls of the Dolyna Museum of Local Lore of Tatiana and Omelyan Antonovych "Boykivshchyna" there are 4 departments: historical; natural; ethnographic; memorial - dedicated to the Antonovych family. Among the materials of the exposition are interesting archeological finds, tools and life of the past, Boyko's clothes and embroidery. The museum has documents covering various events in the history of the region, old prints published in Ukraine, works of Ukrainian and folk art, as well as works of sacred art. The indisputable "highlights" of the museum are the reconstruction of the Boyko house - a typical Boyko house; Easter eggs embroidered with colored threads; a collection of dolls and sacred monuments of the XVI-XVIII centuries.
