I liked the museum very much. It can be seen that he is being looked after and taken care of. The exposition is interesting, clean and spacious. Entrance for 20 UAH per person.

The museum is primarily interesting for the history that stands behind all this - the history of the 1st Czechoslovak battalion. Where did this battalion come from, how it came to Kharkov and Sokolovo, how the fate of the heroes of that battle of Sokolovo took shape. Thanks to Alexander Ivanovich - the keeper of this story!

Just a museum, there is a shop, a cafe.

The Sokolovsky Museum of Combat Brotherhood was opened on March 6, 1968, on the eve of the 25th anniversary of commemorative battles on the site where in 1943, during the Great Patriotic War, the Czechoslovak volunteers of the 1st separate Czechoslovak battalion under under the command of Colonel Ludwik Svoboda. During the battle, about 300 enemy soldiers and officers, 19 tanks and 6 armored personnel carriers were destroyed. Lieutenant Otakar Yarosh was the first foreign citizen to be awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union (posthumously). Orders and medals were also received by other Czechoslovak soldiers and Soviet soldiers who fought shoulder to shoulder with them. In 1968, a new building was built. The diorama "Fight on March 8, 1943 in the village of Sokolovo" occupies a central place in the museum's exposition. The authors are Kharkov battle painters V. Parchevsky, V. Mokrozhitsky, I. Efroimson. Documents, personal belongings, uniforms of Czechoslovak soldiers, samples of military equipment are also presented. Gifts and souvenirs of foreign guests are displayed separately. Visitors to the museum are shown a short version of the feature film "Sokolovo", shot at the initiative of Ludwig Svoboda himself (8 minutes). Filmed in 1975-6, the full two-part version of the film was banned and removed from the rental due to the fact that the actor who played the main character Otokar Yarosh remained in Germany and became an announcer on Radio Liberty.
