Sokyryan Music School was founded in 1965 on the basis of the branch of the Kelmenetsky Music School, the Decision of the Executive Committee of the Chernivtsi Regional Council of Workers' Deputies No. 59-a dated 12.02.1965. This event was a real holiday for young Sokyryans, their parents, all residents of the district. The opening of a musical establishment contributed to the development of aesthetic education of children, amateur groups and the promotion of musical art. The choirs of the senior and junior classes, orchestras of brass and folk instruments, folklore ensemble, accordion band bands, choreography, bandura players, vocalists, violinists, guitarists, and various ensembles of small forms constantly operate in the school. Along with the students, the creative collectives of teachers are constantly functioning: folk chamber choir "Grono", ensembles of small forms: piano, folk and wind instruments. These creative groups constantly take the most active part in all cultural events of the school, district, region: at reviews, contests, festivals, various open and reporting concerts.
