In 1904 a public library-reading room was opened in Khodorkovsky; is based on funds bequeathed by Princess Cecilia Radziwill, a hospital and almshouse for 30 people to care for elderly lonely residents of the town and Skvyra County of the Christian faith. In 1911 a two-class parish school began to operate in Khodorkovsky. Polish children were taught by Father Jan Idźkowski in a secret school founded on his own initiative. But in 1912 he was arrested and the school was closed. The reactionary policy of tsarism was manifested in the same 1912 in Khodorkovsky audit of printing houses, bookstores, as well as shops selling gramophone records. In 1914, 8,106 inhabitants of Khodorkovsk had small zemstvo and factory hospitals, which included: a doctor, 3 paramedics, a midwife. A two-class parish school operated from educational institutions. In the same year, the Khodorkovsky sugar factory was completed. In 1920, a seven-year labor school was opened in Khodorkovsky, which enrolled 300 students, and the following year a district hospital and a pharmacy. There were three schools in Khodorkovsky: Ukrainian, Polish and Jewish. In 1929, the Polish school was reorganized and a seven-year Ukrainian school was formed on its basis. In 1938, the two Ukrainians merged into one seven-year. In 1936 an orphanage was opened, and in 1938 a hospital with 25 beds. There was a club and a library. Khodorkovsky Secondary School graduated many famous people, among them VI Sushchansky - Doctor of Mathematical Sciences, lecturer at KNU. Shevchenko, VV Kovalsky (Kovalevsky) - Admiral of the Navy, lecturer at the Military Academy in Moscow, LI Onopriychuk - General, living in St. Petersburg, Vera Zaitseva - Honored Geologist, living in Magadan, Treasurer Joseph Moiseevich, Associate Professor of Language Glukhov Pedagogical Institute.
