Not many people know the history of their native land. And especially they talk about her with rapture. Resident with. Ilyinka Viktor Bondarchuk with full enthusiasm, together with his wife, created the Museum of History and Local Lore and happily shared with us various stories and interesting facts from the life of this amazing, as it turned out, land. He told that s. Ilyinka and s. Augustovka were founded as settlements on the lands transferred to Count Ilyinsky Joseph (Jozef) -August in 1810. It turns out here in 1833 the first artesian well (fountain) in the Russian Empire was dug, with a depth of over 120 meters. There was also a post station on the road from Odessa to Balta. In the local catacombs, there was partisan resistance during the Great Patriotic War (World War II). The museum contains paleontological, archaeological, geological exhibits, many expositions dedicated to the Cossacks, agricultural tools of the 19th century, the Second World War, the miners' business, ATO participants, radio communications (I am sure radio amateurs will like it), musical instruments and players of various times, wartime documents. Victor's stories provide a comprehensive understanding of all processes. Very informative and interesting. I especially liked the story about the geology and prospects of our estuaries, especially the Kuyalnitsky. I recommend everyone to visit! The ticket price is only 20 hryvnia.
