Obukhiv District Local History Museum

Beautiful historical museum. You can book a tour. A very interesting panorama of ancient Obukhov with original figures of the inhabitants of that time.

A wonderful museum with a large number of exhibition halls in particular: the archaeological hall, where the outstanding exhibit is the sculpture "Diva Tripіlla"; the hall of the times of Kievan Rus; a hall from the time of Cossack, with a unique collection of weapons, ceramics and household items, as well as a carved Cossack iconostasis; the hall of agrarian capitalism was struck by the chic diorama "Obukhivskiy Fairs", when you see it you will be impressed by the work done by the author; Hall dedicated to World War II; Hall "Malishkova svitlitsya" dedicated to the outstanding writer Andrei Malyshko. A very good museum, I recommend to visit!

The Obukhiv district regional museum of history was created thanks to the fans of local antiquity, ethnography and fame (famous fellow countrymen). The first director of the institution was VV Kulinich After a long time the museum is headed by the Honored Worker of Culture of Ukraine Yuriy Domotenko, who made many efforts to create, develop and popularize the museum. During its existence, the institution changed its location more than once until the local authorities finally decided to place the institution in a modern building, in particular on the 3rd floor, next to the building of the district administration in the city center (Kyivska St., 14), in which also contains the Department of Culture of the Obukhiv District State Administration and the central library [1]. The museum holds annual art competitions for them. Brothers Gnipov, archaeological and historical studies of all settlements of the Obukhiv region, issued local lore literature. Thus, the tourist guide "Pathways of the Pridniprovia" was prepared, where the attractive places of this route are presented, and the colorful album-guide "Malyshki Krai" was created to the 85th anniversary of the famous poetess of the poet Andriy Malyshko (1997) [2]. Also developed a tourist route picturesque Malyshko Obukhivshchina, work on the development and opening of tourist routes "Kievan Rus", "Archaeological research Khvoika", "Cossack".
