Monument to the outstanding inventor of the submarine, the founder of the current submarine fleet. One of the victories of mankind over the depths of the sea was founded by the hands of Stefan (Stepan) Dzhevetsky, embodied in the first submarine built in Odessa in 1877-1878. It is symbolic that the monument to the inventor was installed at the entrance to Victory Park in Odessa.
