First time riding train. Going to Pasadena, CA. I chose business class, $40 more than coach; The only difference I can tell is more leg room and the seat reclines and adjusting leg rest.nnUpdaten-Free water in bottlesn-they sell hot and cold foods and drinksnnBeautiful building and interior. It's even has a gift shop, Cool!nnEvery staff I met was friendly and made my first time very easy on where to board.nnI will ride train again; next time to Seattle.
Nice train station and I felt very safe here. It was heartbreaking to see so many homeless people though. Be prepared to see many homeless people but they won't cause you any harm. They have a little eating places but we enjoyed the station. The people were friendly and the building structure is very nice looking.
This is a classic union station of the high degree. The marble is exquisite. The old stylings are still there. It is a beautiful, grand and comfortable place.nThe Amtrak staff are top notch. A RedCap named Cassandra helped me today. She was exceedingly polite and helpful. She checked to ensure that I had all I needed. She patiently explained what to expect and how to proceed as I asked her loads of questions. Her approach to helping me check my bags and boarding the train was both supportive and encouraging. She did not condescend at all.nI thoroughly enjoying my day there.
I love Amtrak but they really need to make it easier to get your refunds. It shouldn't automatically just give you Vouchers. I was told there was options when I was canceling the order but there wasn't it just automatically put less than the amount I paid on a voucher. I called customer service and there was nothing they could do.. I have an idea how about giving people their refunds not vouchers. Some people actually need the money not vouchers.
Didnt go in this trip just passing though, but I was their a few years ago. Very nice station.
