Purdue Police Department

GREED!nnWhen I was travelling back to my home country during the Christmas, my car was parked at my own apartment's spot. The police knew I wasn't physically there, yet he robbed me by charging me multiple tickets for an expired plate, in a total of over 600 hundred dollars of fine. I can imagine his twisted smile when he came by every day and stick one ticket onto another...

From my brief experience, it appears that they don't like helping others when they're in need.nneg: Trying to go home on game day, my first game day mind you, with my car to park in the garage I paid to park in is impossible. I understand that. What I'm upset about, is how I literally had to call the police department to get that information instead of an officer seeing that someone is in distress and literally helping them out or telling them what the deal is. It took me 7 officers, a whole lot of screaming in the car, scaring someone I care about, until I was able to cool down, call the department and understand my situation. When one person could have told me to just wait somewhere. Not to mention that all but two people, who weren't even police officers, where at least sincere and polite. The rest were completely hostile and downright degrading me whilst this happened.nnTo me, it feels that the officers in the department and the people that volunteer are inhumane and only care about doing whats prescribed.

The PUPD have assured us that we will be ok should something like the shooting happen again as long as it doesn't take less than 30 minutes

The officers here treat you differently, depending on what business you have with this police department. Came in to drop off a lost social security card and ID that I found, and the officer was incredibly helpful in addressing my concerns. However, I’ve been pulled over before by a Purdue police officer and he was incredibly rude even though I was well beyond compliant. I’ve honestly had better interactions with the WLPD. Would recommend contacting them if you have an issue.

excessive and unreasonable. I would highly suggest their cops get off their high horses and actually observe their situations with better judgement
