We have to start with ourselves some people so far out of reality.nThey need help. Sometimes jail and other times facilities. I appreciate. You do the BEST you can.

Very disturbing hearing officers tell someone to do as I say or go to jail. Contempt or freedom of speech is a crime? I know you deal with the worst of society however, we expect a level of professionalism.

Handful of corrupt power hungry officers that give the entire department a bad name.

Absolutely awful cannot direct traffic to safe their lives. I have never seen such inexplicable incompetence.

After attending the Citizen's Academy with LPD, I have a better understanding of the day-to-day operation of their department. The biggest takeaway was the ride-along, where I experienced their work in real time. It's not all drama and pursuits like you see on television. Sometimes it's tough calls and compassion. The professionalism and aptitude of the officers and staff I met during the program make me appreciate the quality of the department that this city has been successful in securing for its citizens.
