Eclectic Hair Salon - Downtown

After a dyeing semi-disaster, I made an appointment with Darci and was able to be seen within 1 hour of making the appointment. My hair was a mess of yellow, orange, blue, and green. Darci was able to get the exact shade of green I was originally going for and even gave me tips on how to maintain my color. Love these girls and makes me happy that I found somewhere that appreciates color.nnThis color brings out my green witch vibes. Love it so much!

I came in for a keratin treatment. I couldn't find any pros. I have stated all the cons of getting it done at Eclectic.nn1. My appointment was for 4 hours. And they finished the treatment in 1.5 hrs.n2. I had a wait time of 30 mins before being called in.n3. The keratin treatment is supposed to stay for 8 weeks. My hair went to it's normal frizzy curly state in THREE days JUST after ONE WASH while I was promised that it would stay smooth for 8 weeks minimum.nnI paid 100$ for the stylist to spray keratin on my hair and straighten it while thinking it will stay for 8 weeks. I could have done the same at home and get the same effect for three days. I felt cheated and mistreated. I went to this place because the reviews were really good, but clearly, the reviews don't match their service.nnDisappointed with Eclectic Lafayette Salon.

This place is really nice and clean. I don't know if the girl was new, or what, but she royally messed up my hair. She left it super choppy, even after repeatedly asking her to smooth out my layers so they flowed better. Kept blaming it on my highlights. I would point out several places where it was chunky and uneven compared to other spots. She wasn't very receptive. Needless to say, I was very dissatisfied with the experience.

I love this place. Genevee gave me a super cute cut, fixed my covid hair. Woman owned also.

****update***** you can see my former review below. The color washed out of my hair after one wash. No shampoo or conditioner, just water. I also purchased a colored shampoo from them. I’ve been in 3 times now and each time they tell me they don’t have it ready. Was told they’d call me when it was ready. Still haven’t received a call. I’m honestly just done at this point.n***former review*****Genevee did amazing!! I went to another salon the day before and they did not get me the color I wanted. I went here and Genevee did an awesome job making sure I left happy with amazing hair! I would definitely recommend her.
