Eastside Elementary School

I can only speak for 4th and 5th grade. The 4th grade teacher was wonderful!! In 5th grade the teachers are ill equipped to deal with challenging students. So the whole 5th grade suffers because a small group is misbehaving and the teachers act as if they don’t know what to do. So the whole class loses recess for a week or has to write from the dictionary etc. Also, this school has plenty of gyms but when it’s cold would rather have the students in the classroom on chrome books playing games and music. They recently “punished” the students by taking away their chrome booksud83dude44 Which means the students sit and look at a wall or write sentences during recess. 10 year olds need to run and play!!! That’s why there are so many overweight kids running around in Anderson. It’s like there is no common sense anymore...nThere are no science books for them to take home and study or study at school! Everything is on-line in a convoluted website that is horribly not user friendly. No history books, they use a weekly magazine insteadud83dude33 It’s nothing like school when I was that age and it’s pitiful.

Good school! Sadly we moved out of the district (even though we moved closer) but I don't regret sending my daughter there :)
