Reviews
I am so very grateful for the help that Officer L Joyner provided me today. My car unexpectedly stalled on I65 S, within five minutes of being pulled over this wonderful person was at my window offering assistance. He even sat behind my car for awhile after I told him I felt uncomfortable being on the shoulder of a busy highway while I waited for a tow truck. He also came back after a little while to check to see if I was still fine. It wasn’t his job, but I’m so thankful that he went above and beyond. This is what protecting and serving is all about. God bless and keep him safe always.
This review is not for the policewoman who responded to my car accident in a very short time and whose service I appreciate.nThis review is for the personnel in charge of deciding what towing shop to use for damaged cars.Your unit uses Bert's towing which comes at $ 450 bill and with savage people one had to deal with.Tgere was. No information regarding office schedule or any handout to show fees. The most rude staff reffered me to the police report every question I asked. Please do a device to the community and find a more affordable and decent human beings for those already troubled.Ttroubled.Thank you for your service, when you truly represent us.
Ì called in on a trucker that was reckless almost ran several trucks and cars off the road. About 50 miles down rd they got him. Good job guys
Okay so my friends and I are driving to chicago for a concert and we've been driving for 3 hours from michigan until the point where we get pulled over by a state police patrolman. We're lost as to why we got pulled over because we didnt speed or anything. We've also seen this patrol car going faster than even us going down the fast lane for at least a mile or two. 70 mph is the limit and my friend may have been doing 71 or 72 at MOST. So the officer comes up, asks my friend who was driving for license and registration like normal. (Note: my friends came from New York and we're driving a Charger as a rental only because a Focus would have been too small for our stuff). So after like 5 minutes, the officer comes back, asks my friend to get out the car and come with him to the patrol car. Okay... so my friend complies and he goes to the car and the officer told him that the reason he pulled my friend over was because he didnt create 300ft of space in between vehicles and lane changes. (In Michigan its 200 feet and New York its 100 feet). We didn't know that but the officer decides to let my friend off with a warning which was great. What wasn't great is that before we're told this, the officer tells me and my two other friends that stayed in the car to get out of the car as he was going to search it. Because we're ignorant to the laws here in Indiana, we didn't know how probable cause was established in the state. The officer had no reason to suspect that we had any drugs or weapons in the vehicle, especially considering that we we're pulled over for a minor traffic violation that had no correlation to drugs, alcohol, or weaponry. So he pats us down and has use wait outside in the cold until he searches the whole car and trunk to find not one spec of contraband. The officer was fairly nice throughout the time this was taking place but it was an inconvenience and violation of the rights that we didnt know we had in the state. Moral of the story: know your traffic laws in other states, know your rights, and ALWAYS get the officers name. We might have broken a simple traffic law here, but the illegal search without probable cause was too far after thinking about it all. I'm only putting 2 stars because the stop wasn't THAT long and the officer was cool.
