Disappointed. Nice shower..nThis is the email that I sent to Boyd Gaming, Corporate.nMy fiance and I stayed last Saturday night (10/24) at your Blue Chip Casino in Michigan City. We had to make a trip in from Southern Wisconsin for business. I had looked at many other properties in the area, and decided that this property appeared to have everything we needed without needing to venture out for dinner or breakfast. Check in went very smoothly, the front desk agent was very pleasant and accommodating. We went up to our room, began to unpack, when my fiancee asked me to sit down on the bed. When I did, it creaked. No Big deal. Then I decided I would lay down, and frankly, it felt like I was laying on a pull out bed. We called down to the front desk, where I believe Karen answered the phone, we politely asked if there was another room that we could be moved to, given the bed situation. She was extremely rude and said, nope, we're sold out. I said, well, I'm on Hotels.com and I see I can book a room. She said let me get my manager. I said, sounds good. She gets back on the line and says, if you can book it, you should. I said, so, you are telling me to book an additional room aside from the room I already paid $299 for? She put me back on hold and Justin, who was apparently the MOD on duty answered and was very kind and professional. I accepted his answer of, I apologize, but we just do not have availability to move you. I thanked him for his time, explained how unprofessional his front desk agent was and he said he would address. We decided to head down to the casino, the people checking temps were great, things were starting to look up. We roamed around the casino floor, decided to grab a drink. That is when we were approached by a very large security officer stating (rudely) that if we wanted to drink our drinks, we need to be seated at a machine and playing. The problem is not the rule, we are ALL for Covid protocols. The problem was, no lack of signage stating that, and the sheer rudeness of the security officer. We decided to go elsewhere for dinner. When we returned back to the room, got ready for bed, went to lay down, and there was no comforter between the two top sheets. I called down to the front desk, to ask if this was common, I spoke to Karen again, who again, was RUDE and told me well, there should be a comforter there. Knowing how we interacted last time, I simply said, ok. We turned the heat up in the room and did our best to go to sleep. I am a travel manager for a Collector Car Auction House. We travel all over the country and move around 250 staff members, in addition to customers, to each auction. I am HUGE on customer service. Even if I can't help someone directly, I find someone who can, to assure that my staff and customers are taken care of. After all, the success of our business depends on Customer Service. I am beyond disappointed that at this price point, this was the level of customer service we received. Besides my level of business travel, I am blessed that we are able to travel frequently for leisure trips as well. After all, the success of our business depends on Customer Service. I would like to mention, that unfortunately, I had not screwed the back on one of my studs, that sadly was lost somewhere on the casino floor. When we spoke with security, they were very helpful, taking our contact information and assuring us that if anyone turned in a carat diamond stud, they would call us. We also alerted the floor personnel that we would be offering a reward for anyone that might find it and turn it in. I knew it wouldn't be turned in, but the security staff and your cleaners, deserve a pat on the back for how they handled the situation. We even heard them get right on the radio and alert all staff. So kudos to them.

Be smart Don't go they will take your money every time I come we lose be smart and stay home

I can only give 3 stars because of the pandemic. No live music or entertainment, no buffet which I really enjoyed but I am having fun playing the slot machines . I had some small wins since they reopen.

I don't think our room was very clean oh, it was a beautiful room though. I enjoyed the group that went !!!

Well it is what it is a casino. But they were staying strict with the covid19 guidelines. Beautiful hotel. Great accomodations and food choices.
