I am a former student here, long since graduated. I was here from age 3 to age 13. Right when I hit “elementary 2” status I was bullied relentlessly by both students and the teacher, Mr Sumski. I waited to post this review because my mom was a teacher here, and I didn’t want it to negatively affect her career. I was bullied for basically everything that made me different, and by the time high school came around, I was so far behind the other students that I almost didn’t pass my first quarter. Garry Sumski is a bully first and a teacher second. He used to sit us down on the line and talk about how much he wanted to have bonfires with our toys and video games, and the students bullied me. Not once was the bullying and the teasing stopped, because I was so quiet about it.

This is more than just a school. Everyone becomes a family and works together. Grace and courtesy are taught and implemented daily and as a result the children are kind, loving and repectful. The staff are also kind and wonderful people who embrace students of all capabilities and backgrounds. Our children have flourished from their experience at this school! There's no place like Montessori School of Westfield!

Son attended last year. He was presented learning opportunities he had not been offered elsewhere. Teachers and administrators were great to work with. Recommend to parents looking for “out of the box” education opportunity.

The small class rooms are great, quality education with individual lessons, the real world principles of peace and caring for one and other with personal goals each week for my child to focus on.

Both kids are going there, whole family very pleased with school and teachers.
