Fishers

I remember riding the train as a kid to the fair. Now we have an overgrown gravel road. Thank mr muffin’s trains for buying a part of it in Atlanta Indiana. But no thanks to the mayor of fishers for closing something that was PERFECTLY FINE! Let’s make a petition to rebuild the rails!nNo sidewalk! No sidewalk! No sidewalk!

There is NO TRAIN!nnThis is not a Train station but a public/private failure between the Town of Fishers and the ITM. Fishers and the surrounding area had an amazing asset in the Nickle Plate as both the Fair Train and as a piece of LIVE history and education. It was a way to showcase the possibility of mass transit and history as well as a convenient way to get to the State Fair. It was also just plain FUN!nnNow, due to mismanagement, and Fishers' treating its historical assets the same way Las Vegas does, we are left with the prospect of a SIDEWALK. The great Nickle Plate SIDEWALK. Which would you rather have? A train or a sidewalk. And... at this point we have neither.

An area that so badly could use a commuter train or light rail to downtown to get people off I 465 is really stupid for not taking advantage of an existing rail line that could be used for that purpose. They already have the Monon trail. What a waste.

Great station, hope it will see another train someday.

A train station without trains. The fair train has been closed by the mayor of fishers. The train tracks are going to get ripped up and made into another walking trail.
