The guy working at the ticket counter was very nice and friendly and gave us tips about Indiana.nnThey had a nice variety of trailers and mobile homes here and even had a 7 minute video explaining how to plan out your self guided tour of the museum and even had a narrated miniature model exhibit explaining the entire manufacturing process from beginning to end.nnUnfortunately the lighting was horrible when you reach the main trailer / RV exhibit.

The section of the museum with the historical units was quite interesting, with a wide range of trailers and RVs. The information provided about the units focused on who donated them, rather that information I would find more interesting - like how the unit type fit into the evolution of RVs and the RV industry. The other sections of the museum were not worth the time to walk through - unless you are fascinated by a shrine to people who have built or sold RVs, or who accepted money from people to stay in the RV. Still if you happen to be in the area, walking through the historical units was well worth the modest entrance fee for us.

What exhibits they have are unique and well done. We especially love the campers from the 1920s to 1950s. We have been disappointed with their library. Appears they only have what others have donated to them and perhaps they need to be more proactive in their marketing. No coin copy machine to copy something you want either, and no staff or volunteer in library to assist you. Hours of operation are decent. If u are traveling with an RV you can camp 1 or 2 nights in their parking lot. No hookups or dump station that we saw. You should call ahead since they do use facility for major events in event halls on property which could make parking an RV impossible or prohibited on certain dates. Small museum store does have some books, tee shirts of various RV themes, some collectibles. We bought a life membership in 2017 to support them. This was our 3rd visit in 4 yrs. We manage to see something we missed each time.

We enjoy this museum, joined as lifetime members. We stayed in our camper in their parking lot. There are no hook ups. Worth stopping, especially if you have ever gone camping.

Fun place to see RVs from early 1900s through present day on display. They do a good job of letting you get up close to the really old ones and let you walk through most of the rigs that aren't a hundred years old, which is a real treat if you're into the RV Lifestyle. Displays are well-presented and information cards on each give you a good background on the rigs and why they are in the museum.nnEasy access, huge parking lot, friendly staff. Also cool to check out their library of old publications about RVing.
