This department spends way to much time outside it's jurisdiction. None of the full time officers are Dunkirk residents. Dispatchers are unneeded at this department due to the fact they phone county sheriff's department for BMV information when it comes to traffic stops and warrant checks both of state and local data bases. The dispatchers are basically sucking money for a job that they spend 99 percent of watching cable TV and possibly private use of internet services. Their radio communications are also sometimes very unprofessional in content and attitude from officers as well as dispatch. This department is not in my opinion anywhere near capable of timely response of adequate officers during severe weather events or disaster events. If I was able to give 0 stars and still comment I would have.

These guy’s just didn’t give me direction but came to show me the way. Great job here in Dunkirk Police Dept
