I’m camping in town for my brothers birthday, and I brought my new scooter to ride around the area to enjoy my vacation. Unfortunately, I ran out of gas while out enjoying the local scenery. I started walking back towards the camp site (which wasn’t really too far and I needed the exercise) and one of the Geneva police officers was the first person to stop and ask for help after walking for over a mile. This might be a normal thing for most people, but I’m heavily tattooed, and wearing a helmet with horns on it. Which where I’m from tends to lead to more confrontation than help. But this officer was so nice to me asking about a ride, getting gas etc. that I almost didn’t know how to respond because I’m used to being judged by my appearance. I wish I would have gotten his name, because he was one of the nicest officers I’ve met in some time. Thanks for offering the help, GPD! It means a lot ❤ufe0f
I am not sure who the officer was that stopped my son but next time you decide to stop someone maybe look into things a little more, very unprofessional job done. Giving a minor a ticket when all occupants also did not have a belt on. I am not saying he should not have gotten one but maybe be more observant next time. And not sure why he did not get a warning because of it being broken which was not his vehicle he was a passenger with an adult. But we all know you have to meet your quota.
