The Museum of the Coal Industry

This is a cool place.

We expected coal industry sponsor and propaganda, but this was really about the miners, equipment, company housing and company store. The hardships are not glossed over. Interesting material displays and the caretaker is nice, generous with stories, guidance, and information.nAdmittance is free, they can take donations.

Great little museum. Quite a bit of local items. AJ, the curator, really knows his stuff. Personally takes you around and explains some of the more interesting items. A great stop!.

Great friendly people that are very knowledgeable and made it a fun for everyone.
