Evansville African American Museum

It is a small place with a huge presence. It's rich with our own Evansville black heritage and allows you to live back in time for a moment. I absolutely love it. Besides churches it's the only nugget we have left to call our own. There's nothing left here in Evansville about us as a race. I hope that it thrives for years to come.

Beautiful museum! Wish I would've visited here sooner. Membership rate was very reasonable. I purchased one so I can visit again the next time I'm in town.

An absolute must visit! The amount of local history in this museum is amazing. The staff are very friendly and have such strong ties to the community you get a true and in depth look at African American history in Evansville and the Midwest!
